Advocacy = Active Support

An advocate provides immediate and long-term support for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and other crimes against a person. Victims receive emotional support, information, community resources, help with protective orders, talking injunctions and assistance during court proceedings. Victims are given choices so they can make their own decision.

SHELTER

Temporary safe housing for men, women and children going through a period of crisis.

PROTECTIVE ORDER ASSISTANCE

Assistance filling out protective orders and court advocacy for domestic and dating violence.

STALKING INJUNCTION ASSISTANCE

Assistance with filling out stalking injunctions forms and court advocacy.

JUSTICE COURT ADVOCACY

Assistance for victims of crime including: Explanation of the court process, tracking progress of their cases, personal and court advocacy, and assistance with obtaining financial help when eligible.
